WA Southwest Endemics & Specialties Bird Watching Trip

This Southwest adventure departs from Perth and provides ample opportunity to see all Western Australia’s southern regional endemics, near-endemics and speciality birds.

Take a look at the itinerary below which features an expertly curated travel plan, starting off with the diverse eucalypt woodlands of Dryandra focussing on Western Shrike-tit and Numbats, making stops at Perth's wetlands and selected locations in the Perth Hills for Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo and other endemic parrot species, the Stirling Ranges for beautiful mallee locals and then Cheyne’s Beach to seek the home of the enigmatic three Skulkers. There’s still plenty to explore in the Southwest as we travel to the Karri & Tingle Forests to get our eyes on the endemics found in wetter areas of Southwest WA, stopping by the beautiful old town of Pemberton before making our way to the world-famous Margaret River area. This trip is designed by local bird experts to give you the best opportunities to see and photograph the highlights of the region while experiencing the rest of the unique wildlife and landscapes as well.
